Sam’s Vegan Update – Friday Thoughts

So what have I learned this weeks? I think what I have learned is that Diets, in general, don’t work. Lifestyle changes are what in the end lead to success. Anyone can restrict their caloric intake for a short period of time, but in the end that plan won’t last because you are always thinking about the light at the end of the tunnel. It is not about the destination it is about the trail along the way.

I believe that Dr. Fuhrman it is correct that H = N/C where H:Health, N:Nutriants, C:Calorie. However I think the silent thing that is not said is that you have to do this over the span of your life not just during a predefined segment of your life. It is a lifestyle change.

I am not really “Vegan”. I am more of a Nutritarian … meaning I eat what I think is the most healthy manner I can giving all the available information I am aware of. That is my “lifestyle”. I am sure that I am wrong on many things, but that is not the point. The real point is I am better today than I was yesterday. I think that is the key.

  • Be better.
  • Do your best.
  • Realize you are not Jesus.
  • Keep Trying.
  • Don’t give up.
  • Start Now.
  • Eat more Veggies.
